Welcome to the ICETOE 2026

It is with great pleasure that we invite educators, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders from around the world to join us at The International Conference on Educational Technology and Online Education 2026 (ICETOE 2026), hosted by Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU), a proud member of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU).

In an era defined by the rise of transformative technologies reshaping how we teach and learn, ICETOE 2026 aims to provide a critical platform for rethinking the design, delivery, and impact of online education. Participants are invited to re-envision what digital learning can and should look like in response to these shifts. Beyond scholarly presentations, ICETOE 2026 will provide a meaningful opportunity for networking, dialogue, and building partnerships. Participants will engage with fellow educators and researchers from various countries, fostering collaborations that transcend academic domains.

Under the theme “Educational Technology and Online Learning: Trends Driving the Next Wave of Digital Education”, ICETOE 2026 explores how innovation is reshaping not only the tools we use but also the pedagogical models, assessment frameworks, and institutional strategies that underpin online education. Key topics include shaping the future of online education, including emerging technologies, AI-driven learning tools, data-informed practices, MOOCs, digital competencies, immersive and hybrid learning models, cybersecurity, ethical challenges, blockchain credentialing, and the role of intelligent virtual agents in education.

ICETOE 2026 will take place from 26th to 27th November 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a rapidly developing hub of education and technology. In recognition of the global nature of our academic community, the conference will be held in a hybrid format, offering both in-person and virtual participation.

We invite scholars, practitioners, and graduate researchers to submit abstracts that offer diverse and critical perspectives in the field of higher education, particularly those aligned with the main theme and sub-themes outlined below.
